I think @laura had a train. I just sold my 5 copies of the birds of paradise in the past 2 months! Those things are flying off the shelf!

@laura thank you again for organizing this event. It has become one of our banner events each year! You looked (and I am sure you were) exhausted Sunday evening so get some rest this week and have a Merry Christmas.

Would we (@rcgrier3406) want to make something like this for winter trolley next year?
Would the display space available be able to accommodate something like this, @laura?

@laura powered the draw bridge for winter trolley. Would you recommend/endorse it’s use for future displays, Laura?
I really like the square grid you posted, Bob. You don’t have to modify it for the bridge, I was just thinking of how to use that middle space.

putting this here – all the tables and sneezeguard and such are at trolley museum. @laura can confirm, but I believe we were cleared to leave it all there until we needed it next. I had in mind that we could test the waters in renting a uhaul van to make sure it will all fit (it took 2 loads of my minivan between fall and winter displays). It…[Read more]

Definitely a landmark display at the trolley museum. Way to pull off the 360 view with POWERED track over the bridge, @laura!

@laura Never mind about not being able to staff on Dec. 2nd. I should be able to staff the 1:30p to 5:30p as planned before.

@laura What price were they looking for? I see a good bit of NEW/Sealed sets on ebay starting at $47 with shipping included.

@laura I have a scheduling conflict for Dec. 2nd and of course Dec. 9th (Q4 meeting). I signed up for both of those Saturday’s from 1:30p – 5pm.
For now, I just took myself off the schedule for those 2 days, but nobody else is signed up during the meeting (even in the morning)?
If nobody else can staff on the 9th what do we do during the meeting?…[Read more] -

@laura Hi, sorry for not being able to make it Saturday for set up, but I do plan to be there tonight. I am working until 5pm today, but may be able to finish early (not sure yet). On the spreadsheet it only has you and I listed, so I wanted to let you know I’m definitely coming tonight to set up, I probably won’t get there until 6/6:30ish…[Read more]

@laura, I like @pete idea of the Santa HQ so I will bring that. I need one LUG table, preferably on a corner. It contains two tracks around the outside two edges. Thank you.
@argonvesher I’m thinking I’ll do set up this Sunday (November 19) from 11:00 am until about 1:00 pm.

@laura do we have a layout/blue brick yet. Sign ups for display and staffing?
I would volunteer to assist with those, but I’m not familiar with the apps or how this show will work… Happy to try to learn to help out though!

THAT is an interesting perspective! Usually, like what @laura does at the trolley museum and what we’ve done at the cranberry library, is just come up with a list of things each time we do it, which ends up with a lot of thought and work typing up the list and printing it off….with your suggestion, we can reuse the same kit for any display,…[Read more]

UPDATE: I had spoke too soon and Andi had reached out to me right before the meeting yesterday.
@tbrown00 Thanks so much! Honestly, anything that you have would be fine. You may want to connect with @willmcdine. They were very interested in his fire trucks (being as they’re a Fire Department) and he mentioned he’d be able to send. I can also…[Read more]

Thanks so much @laura! It looks like this post was pending so I pushed it through. It looks like the attachments were too big unfortunately, but I’ll be sure to check out the Flickr link.
