ParticipantHello everyone. I’ve loved lego since I was a kid, but have recently discovered a taste for larger sets as I have moved into a house that can accommodate displaying them. I met some of you at the “Block Party” at the Carnegie Science Center, but just got around to actually creating this account. Very excited to see how large the lego community really is.

Tom FrostParticipantWelcome! We have our next quarterly meeting on August 25th. It is our annual LUG birthday party with door prizes, food, and lots of activities. Check out the thread for more information. Hope to see you there.

Matt RedfieldKeymasterWelcome, Edward! Yes, do try to come to the quarterly meeting, and/or keep an eye on the forums for other activities in the near future when you can come meet some of us!
What’s your favorite thing you’ve built so far?

ParticipantI will definitely try to attend the quarterly meeting.
I was originally going to say that Millennium Falcon 75192 is my favorite, but thinking that it was benefiting too much from recency, pulled up brickset to review my collection back home. I then remembered my favorite set from my childhood, Res-Q Cruiser 6473, which was the coolest thing to me as a child “because it floats in the tub.”

Rich MillichParticipantRes-Q is an interesting line. I like some of the figs, personally.

Greg SchubertParticipantEdward, I like your choice of the red panda avatar. About that Res-Q cruiser set, one thing I like is that it has some unique rubber bumper guards that are found in only a few sets. Combined with shock absorbers, they can have some interesting applications. 🙂

Rich MillichParticipantHere’s hoping you can make it to our Yearly Anniversary Party this Saturday. This is one of the most relaxing and fun events we do all year.

ParticipantI’m planning to. Pretty sure I already responded on the main thread for that too.
