Steel City LUG is a social group formed to bring together adult fans of LEGO (AFOLs) located around the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area. We exist to encourage and further the enjoyment of our members in all the facets of hobbies that surround the LEGO products. We are collectors, MOC (my own creation) builders, collaborators, artists, official set builders, admirers, or even people that just like a good time and don’t know a thing about building. We’re always welcoming extra hands to sort parts or help participate in our events and displays. We have a quarterly business meeting and aim to meet at least once a month for events or social gatherings among members.
We are a resource to our community and define our mission based on the needs and requests of that community. We’ve built displays for libraries, hosted build days for the public, participated in children’s build challenges, filled art galleries for thousands of people to observe our work, answered questions on where to get parts or sets, advice on how to build certain things, and anything else you can think of.
