ParticipantGood morning – there is a convention being planned in LA and they need some AFOL support. We received the below message:
We are collecting data to help make Lego Fan Conventions a better experience for AFOLS. With this data we will be able to find additional support and build better fan experiences for Lego Fan Conventions and experiences.
Completing the survey with a valid email address enters you into a chance to win a $250 gift certificate at your choice of Lego supplier. The winner will be notified on July 12th via email.
Please note this survey is not affiliated with, authorized, sponsored, or endorsed by the LEGO Group of Companies. LEGO is a trademark of the LEGO Group.

Will McDineParticipantDone. This is easily the weirdest LEGO related survey I have ever participated in…. I have no idea how my Desired/owned Car brands and my like for an internal combustion engine have to do with how likely I am to attend a Convention…..

I have been assuming that LA in this case is Los Angeles and not Louisiana. There was a Bricks LA that ran from 2015 to 2022, I don’t know if this is connected. As far as I know, Bricks LA was a smaller event, and I only knew it existed because one of the GBC guys who lives in California attended multiple times, and I saw his photos on Flickr. The event’s website is still up.
I also thought the survey was strange, and I left a lot of questions blank on the basis that the answers were none of their business. I was still able to submit it at the end, and I used my secondary email.
I also can’t get excited about an event that far away. I already have a waiting list for road trip conventions, so it would be lowest priority.
