Wait, people are doing displays for this one? I’m still planning on coming next Wednesday. I cashed in my supply of Amazon rewards points for three sets of varying sizes, and the plan is to get a table and build as many of them as I can.
I looked at the map and I noticed that parking appears to be an issue. There’s no parking on the 11th Hour property, and, as far as I could tell, there’s a complete absence of public parking in the surrounding area, so I assume we have to find street parking.

This is a good point. There are a handful of spots in front of their building but often a food truck occupying most / all of them. Last month, I had to circle around and eventually parked 2-3 blocks away. Granted, I wasn’t able to arrive until after 7… it’s possible if you go earlier, you’ll have better luck. But also, if bringing stuff to display (or the large bins like Keith had last month), it’d be a bit of a pain if you can’t park close…

Eh just block the road to unload. LEGO is more important than people trying to get to where they need to go. If anything, it gives them a chance to see beautiful LEGO creations, ha!
Unfortanely, Caleigh and I will not be able to attend this Wednesday. Caleigh was involved in a head on collision this past weekend. Before anyone asks, she is fine, made it out with only some bruises and a really bad sprained wrist. Some impatient person crossed the yellow line into her lane to circumvent another vehicle that was stopped on the road trying to make a left-hand turn.
I’m going to try to make it there. Wednesday is an in-office day with a post-work event tacked on at the end. If I’m worn out after all that, a brewery probably isn’t the best place for me to be.
I plan to bring the Spider-Man mask that I will be converting to the symbiote/black version.

That’s horrible, but I’m glad she escaped with minor injuries! My wife had a nasty accident a few years ago (sideswipe => rollover on the cross-town blvd) that she miraculously walked away from with similar physical injuries, so I can empathize. The mental toll was significant, and she still gets nervous in certain traffic situations. Hope Caleigh heals up quickly!!

Turnout was so much better this month!
Also, I’m looking for a volunteer to bring the track down next month, as long as that’s okay with @joshhall! I talked with the GM Brian and we thought it’d be great to market a family style event!
Just following up to see if anyone would be willing/able to get the derby track from Josh for the May event! I’d like to let the brewery know by the end of April!

Bumping to the top – anyone planning on coming this month or should I let them know that there will not be any LUG presence this month?
I was planning on coming. One of the sets I brought along last month is still unbuilt. I am less likely to make it in June or July, so if I don’t go, I might be waiting until August.
Also, I only had one beer last time, because I got caught up in building and conversations and didn’t want to interrupt that to go get beer, but that one beer was super delicious and I want to try some of the others.
I’m probably a game-day decision, and it’ll probably be “after my son goes to bed” like the last couple, but I’ll try to make it!
Are people still planning on going despite the storm? Right now I’m debating but still preparing like I’m gonna go.

@lgbrickbuilder awww man you went home too early! We were chatting with the bartender about some things, specificaslly the current layout of the bar and he ended up giving us a tour of the back of the bar…the waaaaay back of the bar. There are rooms you wouldn’t believe that they have and use. Let’s just say we saw a water wheel, skeletons, BB-8, chandeliers and some opulent board rooms that Ben fell in love with. It’s a very interesting place.
I just realized that tomorrow is the third Wednesday of the month. Is this happening? I’d have to run to the Lego store before I go tomorrow.
We’re coming up on the third Wednesday of the month again. I got a medium-size set from Amazon that I can bring on Wednesday. I don’t know if this event is still going though or if everybody’s bailed on it.
It hasn’t died, I enjoy going to the events. The early part of the summer was just easier to make it there after work. This week, we have people here changing our siding and gutters and they will probably be here until at least 8PM so we just can’t make it unfortunately. It is a lot of fun to attend, more people need to try it out.
No worries, I wasn’t sure if it was still happening or not. I haven’t been there since May. Mostly I was concerned that Keith @lgbrickbuilder wasn’t promoting it anymore, because I haven’t heard anything in a while. I can come in September, the third Wednesday will be after Brick Erie.
I’m gonna plan on not coming tomorrow then, I should use the time to work on stuff for Erie anyway.
