Jonathan WagnerParticipantEchoing Krista’s post about the Q1 challenge, a few of us have been discussing having Pittsburgh themed habitats to be able to display at events. These would be something representing us as a LUG and the place/area we call home. Things like a Pittsburgh Toilet (we had 2 today!), Mr. Rogers Neighborhood (also 2!) and a smattering of others. Even tho we had some that were the “same”, both builds of each type looked different and custom to the imagination of the person that built it.
Further discussion on the way home, Kristin and I began thinking of having these as something that could be taken to different events like LUG Doug is. Something we could have packaged up and be able to be taken to different events and quickly setup at an event, potentially even something that could be “checked out” like the MILS plates that are the LUG’s. These would be things made by members but available to the LUG as a whole for use. They would not be considered a display credit as they would be the LUG’s overall and could be added to and switched as members wished. We think it would be a really neat way to show off who we are as a group and individuals.
Thoughts?

Bob GrierParticipantI personally like this idea, especially how good they look “stacked” together!

Matt RedfieldKeymasterThe modularity and room for continuing to grow over time make this a no-brainer! (how many Pittsburgh Potties can we build…?!?)

Gabe VisticaParticipantMatt, I fully expect that we’ll end up with two stacks in the near future and one of them will be a single habitat type!

I expect we can build many, all kinds and in different styles. Like we need a Worhal potty, etc!

Ken Soriano-ClarkParticipantMaybe we can build a set of four Pittsburgh toilets in pop-art colors as tribute to Warhol
