build challenge submissions will go in the display case after the meeting.

Is that a requirement of the build challenge? Or just something that’s an option?

Apologies for the delay. Typing’s been a fun challenge, but my one hand build skills are improving. 😂

    Here’s the agenda/minutes for tomorrow: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1RvRaoWJjTn0YPf1rDZxIFVNIruMlwPdGnNFhzSLXQX0/edit?usp=sharing

Thanks for doing that and sorry for my delay to make you think it was on you to do!

Couple of suggested edits to the Agenda:

    1. Empire Brick Con is in Corning, NY, not Rochester NY. The two are about 100 miles apart. I’ll be glad to take the lead on that event.

    2. Project Support should be added as an item to discuss. I think the deadline for submission is the end of June.

    Hi all,

I’ve already said something like this privately to Marcella and Krista, but I want to apologize publicly for the (public) comment I made about the “bottom two” during the build challenge this afternoon.

I wasn’t trying to tease in any mean-spirited way, I was trying to refer to the general format of Lego Masters, but in hindsight it was obviously the wrong way (and group) for making that particular joke and I’m sorry. It’s awesome that they both got to do the show and I don’t want to undercut the highs or focus on the lows of any of that.

Thank you to the person who gently reached out to me to say it had bothered them and a few others. You will remain anonymous but you truly embody the spirit of “Play Well”.

Are we not allowed to make jokes without worrying about somebody getting offended. The bottom two comment was pretty funny.

It’s not that someone might have been bothered by the joke, it’s that they were, and enough to say something to me about it, hence the apology.

Having thought about it a bit more, I also think that actually doing a “bottom two” would somewhat go against the LUG’s general philosophy of “no comparison” (awarding the best is one thing, singling out the “worst” is another), and I think we (clearly especially me) should take that seriously enough to at least be careful joking about it.
