Jim RolfeParticipantHello!
Noticing lately (last ~3 months maybe) that the site crashes my posts. Especially with pictures. I usually use my iPhone so it may be a device interaction. The site (or phone) used to ask what size photo to upload. It no longer does this so likely this is the issue. I don’t know if this is a site setting or something changed somewhere. When I attach pictures to an email via iPhone it still asks for resize. So it does not seem to be a feature not working on the device but maybe a setting somewhere for website posts or on this specific website from IOS. If there is anything on the LUG site that could be looked at, I would appreciate it!
Thanks!

Benjamin C GoodParticipantYour original post has disappeared. That also happened with Marcella’s survey before she fixed it, so it seems like something’s going on with the site, but I have no idea what. I’ve never seen anything like this happen before.

This has always been a problem. I’ve brought it up multiple times, and so have other people, as recently as this month.
My rule of thumb has been to resize photos to 1500 pixels wide, and to attach no more than three per post.
On your most recent post to your own thread, the photos are coming in at just 240 x 320, which is painfully small, and should be unnecessary.

Jim RolfeParticipantYes, I used to be able to resize on post from the iPhone. Now I cannot. So everything in the phone is bigger than the legal site limits. On the last post I did, I sent the pics to myself via an email and resized on the attach function tot he email. Then I posted that way from a PC.
I don’t like the extra step for sure. Used to be quite simple.

JoshKeymasterIt’d actually an iPhone interface update that broke this. When you go to attach a pic, click the slider buttons on the bottom right corner to change the size of what you’ll upload.

Jim RolfeParticipantThanks Josh! Worked great once I figured it out from your tutorial! 🙂
