SAUSAGE BREAD
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Ingredients
1 box of Pillsbury Hot Roll Mix
1 # regular (sweet) sausage
1/2 # hot (Italian) sausage
2 – 2 cup packages of shredded mozzarella cheese
Oregano flakes
Parsley flakes
Salt and Pepper
Cook the sausages until brown and broken up. Drain
Make Hot Roll Mix following the directions on the package.
Knead with flour until no longer sticky
Divide into 3 equal sections
On a floured surface, roll out long and narrow ( approx. 10 -11 inches wide and 12-14 inches long)
Center 1/3 of the sausage on the dough, leaving about 2-3 inches open on either side. Cover all the way to the end the longer direction.
Add Oregano, Parsley, Salt and Pepper to the sausage
Cover with 1 1/3 cups shredded cheese.
Fold one side of dough over the sausage. Then the second over the dough. Pinch the ends and top to seal.
Place on a greased baking pan (Large cookie sheet will take all three loaves)
Do the same with the other two portions of dough.
Bake at 350 for 20 minutes or until brown.
Cool, slice and serve hot.
Can be sliced and frozen.
