ParticipantBumping to the top – anyone planning on coming this month or should I let them know that there will not be any LUG presence this month?

ParticipantSince it doesn’t look like anyone is able to get the track, I will let the brewery know that we will not be able to do the derby races this month.
Is anyone planning on attending the 21st?

ParticipantJust following up to see if anyone would be willing/able to get the derby track from Josh for the May event! I’d like to let the brewery know by the end of April!

ParticipantLooks like this turned out to be a successful event. We have two new members signed up and already posting!
Turnout was so much better this month!
Also, I’m looking for a volunteer to bring the track down next month, as long as that’s okay with @joshhall! I talked with the GM Brian and we thought it’d be great to market a family style event!

ParticipantI looked at the map and I noticed that parking appears to be an issue. There’s no parking on the 11th Hour property, and, as far as I could tell, there’s a complete absence of public parking in the surrounding area, so I assume we have to find street parking.
This is a good point. There are a handful of spots in front of their building but often a food truck occupying most / all of them. Last month, I had to circle around and eventually parked 2-3 blocks away. Granted, I wasn’t able to arrive until after 7… it’s possible if you go earlier, you’ll have better luck. But also, if bringing stuff to display (or the large bins like Keith had last month), it’d be a bit of a pain if you can’t park close…
Eh just block the road to unload. LEGO is more important than people trying to get to where they need to go. If anything, it gives them a chance to see beautiful LEGO creations, ha!

ParticipantThinking about attending, what time would everyone be going?
I’ll plan on getting down around 5-5:15
April 8, 2025 at 12:50 am #63947Keith
ParticipantDefinitely coming!
I plan on bringing both the HP Castle and Sauron’s Tower, both on rotating stands. Maybe Bag End if it is completed guess we will see, maybe a classic space base or two. No Ewok Village yet.
Sounds good! Thanks for bringing displays!

ParticipantPlanning on it so long as life doesn’t interfere. Will have to think about whether I have any MOCs to bring…
Also, I’ll reiterate this thought / question:
Are we going to try to promote the event via our socials? Is 11th Hour going to promote it? (let’s just say, as swell as they are, I don’t get the sense they’re the most promo-savvy brewery in tahn… last Tuesday’s email newsletter didn’t mention the Weds 3/19 event at all; we’ll see if it gets a mention tomorrow / a Facebook post or anything.)
They did indeed put it in their email in March, but not until the day before the event…
I gave bryan our logo and he said they’ll make a variation of their normal flyer with our logo on it.
Also, food truck next week is Upslope Pizza

ParticipantHey everyone!
Just a reminder that we have the Meet the LUG event coming up on the 16th. Please let me know who would like to attend and what builds you’d like to bring.

ParticipantExcited to see everyone tonight!
If you don’t plan on bringing a set to work on, I’ll have giants bins of LEGO with me for a building challenge!

ParticipantJust checking to see if anyone from the LUG will be attending this Wednesday?!
March 10, 2025 at 11:53 am #63600Keith
ParticipantHi everyone!
I’ve been working with the GM Brian and I will be leading an event on March 19th – this is NOT our meet the LUG event. If anyone would want to lend a hand or just come hang out, I’d love to see you there!
As the LEGO nights are held on the third Wednesday, the Meet the LUG event will be held on Wednesday, April 16th. I’ll get an event created for this – we can bring MOC’s or other builds to display!
February 18, 2025 at 3:58 pm #63204Keith
ParticipantI will not be making the event tomorrow night, but I’ll be working with the GM to get something different for the March event and then hopefully we’ll do the meet the LUG event in April!

ParticipantI’d love to lend a hand if and when needed!
Hello All!
I have official started as our LEGO LAN ambassador. I’ve taken the reigns from @knb112 and have started filing our reports on the LAN. As we know, no one can be as super human as our previous leader, and to that end, I would like to craft a committee of people to help with the tasks and duties of the Ambassador.
If you are interested in helping in some capacity, let me know below.
More info to come. I look forward to 2025 and our relationship with the LAN.

ParticipantKeith,
Are you still looking for this set?
My local grocery store as a couple on their shelves. $70 plus tax.
Let me know if you’d like me to pick one up for you.
I apologize I never let you know the end result of this. Thank you so much for your help – I ended up getting both of the sets so I can make it a modular!

Participantyum.. did you say pierogis? Thanks Keith!
Right across from us pierogis, stuffed cabbage, etc. But there’s so much here it’s hard to choose what to eat 😂
September 21, 2024 at 3:28 pm #60703Keith
ParticipantHi Pam!
I don’t know if I’ll see you before I head out, but we’re next to the info booth and across from Bubba’s homemade pierogis stand. There’s plenty of parking so you should be good!
Hello…
Thanks for the update @rcgrier3406! I will see you soon. I signed up for the 5pm – 9:30 shift!
If by chance you see this before I leave or get there, please let me know where were are set up at. I don’t big the festival land space is.. and want to make sure I find us fast enough. Thanks,
PamelaSeptember 10, 2024 at 7:36 am #60534Keith
ParticipantWow, this is really close to me and is definitely doable, since I can’t attend Brick Erie. I’d be willing to take a shift with Bob Saturday evening and then try to come back Sunday for the entire day, if not at least for the judging shift.
Do we need anymore builds to fill the table(s)? I don’t really have anything in the way of MOC’s. I just have a few minifigure MOC’s that just created this past week… lol. It’s a start for me. I do have a ton of set builds I could offer. Let me know.
Thanks for setting this up Keith.
Pamela
Hi Pam!
I really appreciate you being able to help out! I forgot I had a wedding to go to Saturday night so I was hoping someone would be able to come and support Bob!
Don’t worry about bringing anything other than yourself. Bob is bringing a couple local related MOC’s but otherwise, it’s a small booth with two tables (one will have play brick and the other will display the kids builds).
Thank you again!
