ParticipantI had fixed the link but now don’t see my original post either.
Hi members,
Thank you if you took part in our recent survey about curated groups of LEGO elements. We really appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts.
Your feedback gave us some clear direction. You told us that Collections felt like the most intuitive name for these groups, being simple and easy to understand. You also said these Collections are most useful when they bring together relevant pieces that don’t already sit in their own category, helping to fill in the gaps and make those harder-to-find parts easier to discover.
When it comes to naming individual Collections, you preferred clear, descriptive names over anything too flowery or creative and you said you’d rather have more Collections that are smaller and more specific, rather than big, general ones. That way, it’s easier to find exactly what you’re looking for, and maybe even discover something new along the way.
All of this input is shaping how we move forward — and we’d love your help again as we turn our focus to minifigure customisation.
We’ve put together a short follow-up survey to understand which features matter most to you when it comes to creating custom minifigs. If you’ve got a few minutes, we’d really value your input.
Thanks again for being part of this!

ParticipantThat’s so awesome of them! Next Monday is Memorial Day / it will be on – but I will be out of town!
I am so happy they liked having us! It was so much fun. I am still humbled by all the support!

ParticipantThanks everyone / I am going to call them as well – as I messaged them about two more tables of 10 in the dining room – but they never answered the message. I have probably 10 or more coming from Lorcana League – along with family and friends – so probably at 20 -25.
May 18, 2025 at 8:53 pm #64408Marcella Spear
ParticipantIf they will let you hold a few more tables when you get there that would be great.

Participant🙂 When I called, lol I pretended to be my friend Jenn and told them we had 2 members of our LUG on the show. But I didn’t talk to the manager. If someone wanted to call back (I’m embarrassed) lol and let the manager know – that is okay with me. @knb112?
ALSO OF NOTE FROM THE SHOW: “Please do not invite the press on your own or confirm press RSVP’s. If you have personal relationships with the press that you’d like to invite or are interested in attending, please let us know so we can help coordinate.”

ParticipantWe booked tables in the dining room and they have that one area with the giant screens – and they said we can put it on whatever TVs we want. So we won’t be in the arcade section where it’s crazy loud.
We aren’t paying anything so we will see how it works out. ☺️

ParticipantOk I just spoke to Dave and Busters at the waterfront – they said they would turn the TV’s to whatever we want and they have a lot of TV’s – we can stay for games after – you can order food and the waterfront pretty easy for everyone to get to.
What do you think of that?

ParticipantDon’t forget to bring your build challenge to the meeting – we will be placing them in the library display case after the meeting.
See you all there!

ParticipantAfter talking to a fellow LAN Ambassador, the rule has always been in place on Licensed projects. He mentioned they are not supposed to be allowed and will usually be rejected. I think we may have scraped by with Hoth. He mentioned their LUG wanted to do a Jurassic Park project but decided against submitting it do to the licensing.
We may want to stay away from submitting those type of projects in the future if they are going to tighten the restrictions going forward.

ParticipantHow about:
Color Your World Challenge
MOC display showing how color influences the world. Must FEATURE the Original LEGO colors. Red, Yellow, Blue, White and Transparent. Other colors can be used but these must be prominent in the build.Size – no bigger than a 32×32 baseplate wide – so multiples can be used in display case.
“When Lego started manufacturing bricks, it started small, colorwise. “These were very basic colors,” said Signe Weise, a corporate historian at Lego. The original brick colors, according to Weise, were red, yellow, blue, white and transparent.”

ParticipantThis is a neat idea. I second it – if that is needed.
April 6, 2025 at 2:37 am #63916Marcella Spear
ParticipantI like color your world. And we could place the winner in a library / or better yet – they could go in the case at Penn Hills afterward.
