Benjamin C GoodParticipantWe saw Abbie and EJ (of Abbie Dabbles fame) this past weekend at Indy, and Rachel told EJ about the coming Squirrel Apocalypse, and he said his LUG also ordered tons of squirrels. So we have to make sure our Squirrel Army crushes theirs.

JoshKeymasterI assume that when the squirrels begin their uprising, they will start by taking over this tree and the surrounding area. Then they can build their temples around it and bow before it in worship.
Giant acorns, sweet!
The home & garden show has been great for getting LEGO work done and hanging out with LUG members. Even got started on the giant squirrel-
I love seeing your technique!

Rich MillichParticipantI am not participating in LUGBULK this year, but my headcanon makes the Apocalypse fun.

Krista KModeratorThat’s awesome! I think they may need their own coaster. 🙂

Squirrels on roller skates! And I’m pretty sure that’s a jar of Nutella up on top of the cabinet, LOL.
Both the floor and the back wall are built studs to the side, which is cool. The squirrels are only dark orange and black, the easiest to get (Picnic in the Park City set) outside of LUGbulk.

Benjamin C GoodParticipantI’m noticing Renee’s post from July 4, 2022, which I don’t remember reading before. I go out of way to avoid spoilers on sets I plan to buy (which means avoiding even looking at the box covers if I can help it), so I may have recognized the sticker sheet as being from the Loop Coaster and then moved on. I got the coaster for Christmas and built it at Rachel’s house. I also noticed the suspicious squirrel activity, so apparently Lego knows all about it.
For those who (inexplicably) don’t consider Febrovery to one of the greatest achievements of humankind, or just (also inexplicably) aren’t on Flickr, there are some important squirrel updates:

PLAYINGWITHECHOESParticipantDid you know squirrels make great security guards? They work for peanuts.

TimModeratorI thought for a minute this was some sort of Temple. Fortunately, just some friendly squirrels listening to some bandstand music. Perfectly normal. Nothing to see. Move along.
