I work for a School District In Ridgway PA which about 3 hours north of Pittsburgh. My wife is from Bethal Park. I am hoping someone can share some information with me regarding a fundraiser. I am looking to create a lego building contest where people pay to compete. I would have different age groups and they would build different things and then be judged.
    1. Has anyone done this before and if so can they share any details they can with me.
    2. I don’t know where I would get the Legos. Can I borrow them from somewhere? We can’t afford to buy new sets.

I called lego and they suggested contacting the nearest lug.
I posted in introduction as well because I am a new member.

    Thanks for your help.

We’ve never undertaken anything like that. You could try to get some sets donated (or purchase relative inexpensive sets) and then sell the sets to the participants who would then build something using the set.

Also, welcome to the LUG. 🙂

You could look for bulk part lots on eBay (something like $8/pound for random parts).
