The event is from 10-6. I do not think we will need a lot of time to set up. I am planning to get there around 9:30.
Josh – are you able to come? If not, I need to get the play brick and table covering from you.

Micah and I will be there the whole time. If others can come for any part, that would be great. We could use a couple more things to fill up a display table. I have the Teddy Bear factory from Greg, and the Harry Potter/Voldemort mosaic from Josh/Matt. Micah and I will bring a couple things as well, but we could use a few more to fill things out. Here are details I received in an email about the event:

Thank you for registering as an exhibitor for our Inaugural STEAMabration event on August 20th, 2016 in the parking lot of the Energy Innovation Center located at 1435 Bedford Ave, Pittsburgh Pa 15219! The event will run from 10am to 6pm.

Here are a few things to remember and guide you to a successful event.

    1. Set up for your exhibit will be from 8:00-9:50 am. You will check in at the front entrance when you arrive and will be shown to your space. This will also serve as the loading and unloading area for your exhibit.
    2. We are extremely excited to have you participate in this free community event. Below you will find a PDF of the tent assignments (Keep in mind some changes in assignments may be made prior to the event).
    3. The hashtag for the event is #STEAMabrationpgh. Below is a flyer to circulate and spread the word about the STEAM-abration. Please do what you can to build awareness for our event. This event is sponsored by the Sprout Fund, The URA, and BME Pittsburgh!
    4. So far we have given away over 280 tickets and the registrations keep coming in! We expect this to be a well received event and it is mainly due to your participation! Thanks again!
    5. Parking is not provided. There is a lot across the street and residential street parking in the area.
    6. In addition to the exhibitors, we will have a Rock wall, Inflatable Laser Tag Arena and an Inflatable Toxic Waste obstacle course.
    7. Food will be available from 3 vendors which will be selling Ice Cream, Cookies and Rib Dinners at the Event!
    8. We will have a few panel discussions during the event on the stage. (If you are interested in the participating please reply to thecitizensciencelab@gmail.com and let us know. The panel discussion topics are listed in the schedule of events.)

Yes. Micah and I are planning to live in luxury and have a room to ourselves. We do have room to transport people if there is a need for that.

I just booked our hotel. We are staying at:

    Courtyard Philadelphia Great Valley/Malvern
280 Old Morehall Road Malvern, PA 19355

This is for Marriott rewards reasons. It was much less points. It is only around 6 miles away.

All is going well. We arrived yesterday around 1:30 and had things set up by around dinner time. We have had much fun interacting with others and doing various activities (and winning a good amount of Lego). We did find time to make it to the Lego store this morning. The first public session went well today. There were many positive comments and discussion regarding the elements in our display. Now off to bed.

We have a minivan we can take. Since it is just Micah and I, we can take both back seats out giving us a good amount of space.
