I’m going through this process to volunteer for church, but I figure I’ll post a thread to document the steps if we ever need it for anything.
1. fill out the “Request for Criminal Record Check” found at https://epatch.state.pa.us (costs $10)
2. Print out and mail the child abuse history clearance – http://www.dpw.state.pa.us/findaform/childabusehistoryclearanceforms/S_001087Isn’t there a state clearance that costs $50?
I’m wrong, the cost is $10 for each form. Its hard to believe that the cost of anything from the state has decreased.
The criminal record check is $10 and can be completed in a couple of minutes through the state police website. The child abuse clearance is $10 but the form must be printed & mailed and the payment can only be a money order. It also take a month to get the form back.
The FBI clearance that teachers must get is about $30 and you have to go somewhere and have your fingerprints taken.
