Mystery technic wire / part

I recently placed an order to Belgium because it was the only place that had two of these wires:

What I received were two rather rigid wires with yellow caps, shown below.  Are these LEGO parts?  I ordered them through bricklink so I don’t think it was a language problem, but I am baffled by the parts I received because I did not find anything similar in the wire category.  Does anyone know an old school LEGO technic expert?

The seller explained that these are antennas for radio controlled cars.  Who knew, right?  He had enough of a sense of humor to laugh at himself and told me he would be sending the right parts.

lol, i was going to say, those are definitely missing their bricks at the end. I thought maybe he just put caps on them so not to have exposed wires.
