Anyway, since this is threadjacking, has anyone ever heard of https://bricksandminifigs.com/ Apparently they have several brick and mortar franchise stores but the closest ones to us are in MI, KY and CT.

Awesome, I see there’s one in Omaha, where I’ll be visiting my aunt next month!

If this finally works, then I figured out that my problem was trying to post the reply when I was still on page 10 of this thread instead of 46.

This program is rudely not letting me quote #19279 by @greg on page 10 of Threadjacking where he mentions https://bricksandminifigs.com/our-stores/, so pretend this is the quote.

This was only five years ago, but I don’t remember finding it and I don’t remember posting it. (Uh oh)

Anyway, Renee are you going to look for something special there? There is a store like this in Lancaster (Lititz actually, Ben) but I thought the prices were higher than bricklink … except that if you were there anyway, you did not have to pay for shipping.

had a friend go up to legoland NY and take these pics for me. When we were there, I saw this corn cob piece and just thought I was disconnected from the new parts over the years, assuming this part existed…but it does not!

Looks like your #1 pick for LUG Bulk 2023 has arrived!

I’m not sure why an email about Josh’s post didn’t come through for me, I got Jim’s. Anyway, I coincidentally saw the corn for the first time today as well when I was looking through this year’s sets on brickset.com. As soon as I saw it, I thought ‘People in the LUG are gonna want that one.’ But I’m more excited about that new green plant part used to hold up the corn and other vegetables, it’s also showing up in an upcoming freight train set. Hopefully they find some sort of reason to make that plant part in another color like dark pink or lime, cause it should be great for space plants. I realize that I’m stating the obvious there, and that you guys already thought of that, but I’m passing it along anyway.

I’m still more interested in the new animals! New cow. Calf. Baby lamb. Piglet. A new color chicken. And the sheep piece that looks like wool you can sheer off…come on! Take my money.

There’s also a new color rabbit!

That is super awesome @rcgrier3406! But I can not figure out why the alligator is attacking a poor brick separator.

Weird, I was filling out my store survey (from the emailed store receipt link) and the buttons at the bottom of each page were in another language? Google is not being helpful…

Oh yeah, I had that problem too. I just kept clicking Berikutnya and it worked. It is Indonesian for “next”.

I was trying to link it to something special for May the Fourth. Disappointingly, it was just a bug :(.

Does anyone in the LUG live near Mt. Washington … close enough that you would be willing to pick up something there?

    Define “something.”

I go in when I go to my townhouse.

    Define “live near.”

What’s the timeline? I drive over Mt. Worsh most days en route to work and back. Unfortunately, the next few days aren’t most days…

Define “Mt Washington” I don’t go anywhere near there, but I wanted to play too

Decided to stop by the Beechwood Lego Store since we were in Cleveland today and was pleasantly surprised to find their sculpture perfectly captures the AFOL-LEGO relationship

However, as these costs have continued to rapidly rise, we have taken the decision to increase the price on some of our sets.

    So.

Up until a few years ago, I could swear I’d never heard of “take/taken/taking a/the decision” – always and only “make/made/making.”

Is it an international thing? Mostly when I hear it, it’s coworkers from Canada/India/Europe… curious what you all’s experience is, and whether any of you notice and obsess over incongruities of this nature.

LOL Alexis and I were up there a few months ago and I saw and thought of the same thing. Later in the month we are gonna take a small road trip to the Unofficial Lego Museum in Ohio and im expecting to find the same or similar. Anyone been there recently?

Interesting observation, but I have no idea. It’s not a translation issue if native speakers are saying it. I wonder, if you “take” a decision does it mean it was someone else’s idea?
