@timf -Glad you like the build. It will stand on its own without the baseplates, of course it is more stable with the baseplate. I added a 2×8 slope to each end to make it more stable.
Two questions for you, is the case open glass on all sides such that Libraries ROCK should be readable on both sides and when is the setup?

Here is the finished product, my daughter added the Friends people.
I’m going to try to clean up some of the lines over the next couple weeks. I’d like to get rid of the 1×2 bricks.
I’m happy to deliver on the green base plate or a grey or none at all.
Unfortunately I don’t think I’ll be able to make your Q2 meeting to introduce myself in person.

I put this together in Stud.io, if it fits the display I am happy to build and contribute to the display. If the display is full or does not fit no problem either. The lettering is done with 1x plates and studs in the rendering, the built version would use 2x plates and studs.

Hi Everyone,
I’m a new guy here looking to get involved with the group and thought I might be able to contribute to the display. Here is a picture of a rocker hand I made last night. It is 19 studs high and built with 2x bricks.
I was going to play around with adding Libraries Rock to it somehow but thought I’d post this to see if it fit the…[Read more]

Thanks Josh
I found the mosaic online and transferred it to excel to chop it up into the pieces. I am working on a set of instructions to share with others, attached is the excel file though so it can easily be recreated. I used stud.io to help get all the pieces built so I knew how much of everything I was going to need. The pieces are 2×2,…[Read more]

I’m looking for 15 yellow 1×1 plates to finish a build. I thought I’d check locally before ordering from BrickLink
I’ve been following your group for several years since seeing the first display at the Trolley Museum, 4 young kids have prevented me doing any building or getting involved with the group.
I’m located in the South Hills near So…[Read more]

Great article, my sorting style was to just dump everything on the floor.

Hello All,
I saw your display at the Trolley Museum last week. Great job, my kids and I loved it. It brought back many fond memories of my city layouts as a kid.
I live in Upper St. Clair and look forward to participating in some events in the new year.
