Thanks @greg! Couldn’t have gotten through without @arcadiumsol giving me some much needed moral support and some hands to help with the green, gelatinous plant beds! Thanks Sean!

I am working on re-designing my exo-suit hangar to fit the display case in the Lego store. I envision one side being the inside of it and the other side being the out side if it. The structure itself will be predominately gray. I want to keep the story flow focused and simple so I want to avoid Easter eggs or things that look out of place. The…[Read more]

@willmcdine, it includes all public displays whether staffed or not. It does not include displays at AFOL Conventions (even if there are public hours) since those are separately supported by Lego in other ways. Do we have a SWR display (either past or future) in 2019? I will go ahead and see if I can report the Lego Store Display (@arcadiumsol…[Read more]

MUSCLE RACERS
I have been building a race car fleet for a while now in bits, slowly, over the past two years, as it’s one of my long term projects to build a Grand Prix race circuit, thanks to @joshhall selling me most of the parts for the #38 car. I will be bringing two of these cars to Q2. @arcadiumsol and I have discussed ways to hold varying…[Read more] -

I am starting this thread to provide a way of tracking where LUG parts are. That way when there is an event that we need the parts for, we all know where the parts are. I want to encourage everyone who is borrowing anything to post it here.
I have 8 48×48 plates. I will be using them for the December trolley display. Sean @arcadiumsol has three…[Read more]

As @arcadiumsol said, he was buried alive in a casket of ABS. He also had the stickers for the magnets that @knb112 had asked me for.

See you at a meeting or event some time? I feel like we met briefly once, but it’d be cool to get to know the woman who puts up with @arcadiumsol! 😉

@arcadiumsol nope you can’t borrow, but you can have two 🙂
The question is, when can we meet before the Q4 meeting? My schedule is insane for the next month.

I have added judging criteria to the initial post in this thread.
Also, I got a sneak peek at a Build Day with @arcadiumsol, and there is going to be some good competition. 😉
SPEED UP!

8/29/2018:
* According to @arcadiumsol‘s faction rules, the Black Sparrow will be renamed the White Raven.
* I did some more work on the fuselage, working down from the dorsal surface toward the connection points to set up the internal structure. I have a white stripe from front to back that I’m happy with.

Most Vics are single seaters. Think “Top Gun” combined with wild video game-ish color combinations. So, double seaters are more than okay, as many fighter craft that inspired the space shoot-em-up genre were double seaters. The Monorail Vic @randomdan and I dreamed up would have had at least three pilots: one cockpit pilot and two wing pod…[Read more]

8/18: Got distracted by Real Life things, but I had a burst of progress:
* Built a Space Container standard for an 8×8 stud cube and longer 8×17 stud container. These containers can carry 6 stud wide vehicles, Temple of 5:2 crates, all sorts of stuff. They have pull open doors that work with serial number details on the doors. The containers are…[Read more]

Thank you for sparing some time to read all of this and generate some deeper thought. Here goes:
From one viewpoint, I am a big, big fan of the broad use of programmable lighting for LUG collaborative displays. This would also be a fine learning experience, since few of us have this expertise. Light, motion and sound attracts people to our table…[Read more]
