@iamrjthompson, I also have a bag full of instruction manuals that I got from a neighbor who was cleaning stuff out. I was planning to bring them to the meeting to offer to anyone who wanted them. You’re welcome to take whatever’s left for the LEGO Studio if you want them. I’ll coordinate with @knb112 as well.

Is that usually the theme on Sundays? I can ask Jim if I can bring down Pikachu and I have some poke balls.
I’m all for doing whatever makes the most sense for us and the store. @iamrjthompson what do you think? For Comicon in Erie we primarily did games, Star Wars, Marvel, or whatever you wanted to bring.

@iamrjthompson What about something for May the 4th? I’m sure we could pull an impressive Star Wars display.

@iamrjthompson It was truly a pleasure to help out. I’m so glad to hear that it went so well! Of course, looking forward to next time too. 😊
I also updated the cup credits. Let me know if I missed anything.

Last one!
The event went well. Had quite a few people stop by. @iamrjthompson was in good form chatting everyone up about his builds. @bacon1986 ‘s Brikhead scavenger hunt was a hit with the kids. Glad we could support the event. I’m always up for helping out libraries.

I saw on Facebook that this event is Saturday, but have not heard much recently. How are the plans for Brickvue going, @iamrjthompson ?

@iamrjthompson I mentioned some of the details at the meeting on your behalf, but there were a few questions, which I encouraged people to post here.

@iamrjthompson No way! What do you teach? I’m primarily workforce development and community ed. Enrollment seem low this term, but there’s still time. ๐

@iamrjthompson, @timf, I’m also good with Friday 4/17 to bring the Incline there to display. The Incline itself fits nicely on a standard 6 ft. x 2.5 ft. table. I’d want to locate the table close to an outlet so I can plug in to run the cars. It will take me at least an hour to set it up, so if you want it to be up and running by the 9 am start…[Read more]

That sounds like a great idea. We would need to come up with a prototype and then source the pieces. I would think something around 100-150 pieces is probably sufficient. A Cathedral of Learning model would probably be the most recognizable building on campus. Or we could do a Steel Tower. Let me see if I can work on something. @iamrjthompson…[Read more]

Pittsburgh diss, improper capitalization, and improper pluralization of “legos” aside, I’d at least be curious for more information. She seems to have at least some interest in “finding a good home” for the bricks, rather than just selling to the highest bidder. Not that we should lowball, or anything. But… worth further investigation, I’d…[Read more]

@iamrjthompson – any further discussion about possibly repeating this event (hopefully with the right bricks to make the library?) I know we had a lot of fun last year, and they seemed keen on bringing us back at the time…
