Not sure which forum this belongs in, but I’ve been trying my hand at some brick built evergreen-type trees. (I’ve spent enough already and don’t need to be going out and buying lots of foliage!) I’ll winterize these and also add snow to the knarly trees from the medieval village. I figure it’ll look best if we mix different types of tree.
PS:…[Read more]

Yes, I’m onboard. I will bring my houses (even though they’re incomplete) and whatever else I can scare up (cars, trucks, trees, etc). I’m hoping to snag some black slopes from the LUG brick to finish one of the houses.
Also, if anyone has some of these, I would like to buy them or trade for…[Read more]

I have no objection whatsoever. My goal is just to provide stuff to help fill out your vision.

I’ll bet I can rustle up a few cars and pickup trucks.

I’ve got two LARGE houses pretty much built. I think together they can occupy a 4×2 section (4 wide by 2 deep), which would put me at 8 baseplates total. If both houses were placed close to one another, I think I could condense them down to a single 3×2 baseplate block (3 wide by 2 deep). I will also have the medieval church (I’ll try to add a…[Read more]

I don’t know if I’ll be up for a trek out to Cranberry, but if you and Greg meet and want to call me and ask me anything (e.g. “Hey, Doug, can you commit to this?”) please feel free.

This is going to be a “Lego weekend” for me (I need a break from everything else that’s been going on). If I can be of any help in your meeting or planning, let me know (419-271-5057, cloud@cmu.edu). Yes that’s 419, not 412 and now everyone in the LUG has my phone number and who cares?

I will be contributing to your town display! I have one mansion mostly done and will be starting another one soon. I’m also open to doing anything else that needs to be done (I’m in contribution mode right now). I’ll bring what I have to the build on the 26th, although my understanding is that you won’t be there, correct Tim? If that is the case,…[Read more]

The future tenant website says the Sunday night event is from 7-10 PM, but I need to take my dislays down before that, in the early afternoon if possible. Is that doable?

Thanks for the feedback! This has been the most difficult build I’ve undertaken, and being in this group and getting encouragement from you all keeps me going.
I forgot that those were musketeer torsos! I was going for “traveling troupe of soldiers.” I figured the one in the lead with the yellow “shoulder pomps” (I’m sure there’s a better name…[Read more]

*chanting* “Monday evening Monday evening Monday evening” 🙂 I can also do Wed. or Thur.
The medieval village is 2/3 complete! I just need to finish the 48×48 baseplate that has the church on it. I’m thinking church on a hill. See the pics of what’s done below. I haven’t populated it fully with minifigs yet. Also, I’m going to put something…[Read more]

I’m still working away on a small medieval village. It will now take up 3 48×48 baseplates, with an inch or so border around everything. I just finished the church tonight (see below). Are we setting up during the week? If so, awesome. That would mean I could be there for setup.

I do want to point out that several of us seem not be be able to make setup (I also can’t make breakdown). It might be a good idea at this point to make sure that enough people will be around for setup, and that there are people willing to step in and take responsibility for others’ work.
