If you go to the LEGO store and purchase today, they might still have a few left in stock. I purchased my set earlier yesterday around 2:30pm and I still saw another mimic gwp or possibly 2 behind the counter. If you go early, I’m pretty sure it would be yours, as the weather was so bad yesterday it probably kept most away from the mall and LEGO store.

As it stands now, I’m going to have to jump ship. My friend is not going and therefore I’m out of luck for transportation. Not sure if someone else is going and has room for me, (my stuff, and some Logan’s stuff .. not much really), I’d be more than happy to pay some of the gas. I’m going to try to swing a rental as well, but don’t this.. as it might just be a bit too much for this year.

1. Just want to make sure your ok, 2. Want to check in on the deal for the sets … I need an address to either meet you or to just drop by. I’m tied up tomorrow from 9am – probably 6p, but have no issues dropping by or meeting after.I’d ideally like to get the deal done asap, as I really want/need the new D&D set and would like to get mimic gwp as well… lol. It goes on sell midnight tonight online and in stores tomorrow for Insiders.

@bengood921 OMG, this video was awesome. I thought your part was great. And don’t be a dork, your voice is fine… lol. I only mention it and laugh, because I have always said the same about my voice! Anyway, great video and thanks for sharing. I’m just sorry I’m seeing now… just a little behind on forum reads, but I guess better late than never.
I would definitely like to display a MOC or 2 this year. It will be on the ‘smaller’ side for sure. I’m thinking of a LEGO Art mosaic and possibly a small diorama from a favorite movie, video game or something. However, I would also like to be a part of a larger MOC with someone else displaying at the event. Would anybody be interested in taking me under their wing so I can help with their MOC while learning at the same time? … Let me know if anyone needs some extra hands and doesn’t mind ‘teaching’ a bit in the process.

I like it! I also think it might be cool to do a in-person build n chill there at some point. Maybe not on same day or maybe on same day… don’t know. Just think it would be fun to do an in person build n chill.
I’m definitely going again this year with my friend (and her son, Matt is suppose to come too). I’m still trying to get Matt to join the LUG. He is a little shy and has a bit of a speech impediment. I keep telling him, that no one here is that judgmental and very your all very kind and welcoming …Kinda hoping when he comes to the show, he will find that out for himself. In any case, we would probably not do the Air BNB for that reason alone, but I honestly think I will have something in the form of MOC ready to go by that time, it might just be a mosaic, but I’ll have something (maybe even a MOC or two!)
Micah mentioned a collab, I’d love to do a collab with some as well. It would just open the door to be able to learn how to MOC better!

@mitchsbricks I’m really running behind as well. It was a way to late of a night on Discord build n chill last night and I’ve woken up with a terrible headache/migraine. At this point, I think I should cancel. I’m sorry; I was really looking forward to playing some new great games!
@laura Never mind about not being able to staff on Dec. 2nd. I should be able to staff the 1:30p to 5:30p as planned before.
Ok, Sunday December 3rd. Do you need anything and/or should we bring games? I know you have so many to choose from, I’ll just be happy playing any games with you guys.

Luigi’s Mansion Link@laura I have a scheduling conflict for Dec. 2nd and of course Dec. 9th (Q4 meeting). I signed up for both of those Saturday’s from 1:30p – 5pm.
For now, I just took myself off the schedule for those 2 days, but nobody else is signed up during the meeting (even in the morning)?
If nobody else can staff on the 9th what do we do during the meeting? If absolutely nobody else can staff, than I’d rather staff the afternoon to ensure the displays are ok? I probably wouldn’t be able to make the morning shift though, which is why I didn’t sign up for those…

Pamela@laura Hi, sorry for not being able to make it Saturday for set up, but I do plan to be there tonight. I am working until 5pm today, but may be able to finish early (not sure yet). On the spreadsheet it only has you and I listed, so I wanted to let you know I’m definitely coming tonight to set up, I probably won’t get there until 6/6:30ish depending on if I can get done with work early or not and traffic. I live pretty far away as well, hence why I put 6/6:30 as an arrival time. Google maps has it taking an 55m to an hour and 10m to get there if I take the back roads and it Google maps just laughs if I take the more direct way going through two tunnels during rush hour traffic 😂. If there are any other instructions for me tonight, please let me know either through here (I’ll do my best to check back) or better yet, if you text me at 412.983.4708 I’ll definitely get the message and respond.

I’d really like to display and staff (mostly, set up, Saturday afternoons, and tear-down help – I signed up on google sheet).
Since this is my first time displaying at this event, I want to make sure that it is not a MOC only event? and secondly, if there is any interest in me setting up my own mini-winter store bought sets village. I currently have built the holiday main street and motorized it with the power-up, so I wanted to see if I could put my Holiday Main Street buildings, the Elf club set, Stata’s visit, the new Alpine Lodge in a scene where the trolly would circle my little village. I also have the gwp Santa’s Workshop, gwp elf scene (these are the two gwp’s that connect from last season. As a special bonus, I also have the Star Wars Holiday Diorama I can throw into play. I’m also working on purchasing more of the smaller christmas scenes to add … the skating rink, snowball fight and a few others, although I don’t even have them yet, let alone built. The Alpine lodge I’m starting that build now, so it should be done. Santa’s workshop and the Star Wars diorama need built as well – I’m fairly certain all three can be done before set up (others are built from last year).
If this is too much or not right, please let me know. Again, I never staffed or attended this event. Looking forward to it this season!@watchwmarcella thank you so much Marcella for toting my LEGO around. I really do appreciate it. I’m not sure how, but I got bumped off this thread and did not receive any kind of notice on when tear down was… so again, much appreciated that you are making sure I get my LEGO to Brickfest.
I do have the Elf clubhouse, Holiday Main Street and santa’s workshop if any of those can be used for the winter display, just let me know 🙂I don’t know how I’d put my best dad joke into lego form, but thought I’d share my favorite all time dad joke…
