One of the benefits of escorting your spouse to a craft store is that you discover things that you never knew existed.

We are currently in a brief window in which you can sign up for the raffle to see all the behind the scenes stuff in Billund and stay at Hotel LEGOLAND in Denmark for three days. If you are randomly selected, it only costs three grand plus transportation costs to and from Billund.
As I recall, @philmatt24 got to do something like this when…[Read more]

Ooh, so close! Except there’s no “e” in “Green”, and there is an “e” in “Katherine”…

@philmatt24 I agree, I always inspect sets before bidding. They do have a return policy you can buy but it costs extra. Also keep in mind that they will sell things as “Like New” and if the set is not actually “like new” I believe you can return it on the spot.

The mountain range was definitely the best things about that build, the MOC monorails were also cool.
But having all those modulars? Meh – I would have enjoyed it more if he had made a wide open cattle ranch or a custom scene from LoTR at the base of those hills.

@zandecreates yes I saw your mini-microscale Burgh on reddit. Very well done. I really like how you created the two stadiums.

Those are great! I have never tried a minifig scale building but have been thinking about starting one (digitally at least). I love the look of some of creator building sets like the book shop, but don’t have the space or spare money to get one. I was thinking about scoping out somewhere in Pittsburgh to design, like a block in Bloomfield.

I’ve said it before, but thank you to everyone who contributed to make our display so awesome. We had 27 members participate, including some new members displaying for the first time. If I forgot anyone, I apologize, but many…[Read more]

CAR CONSTRUCTION
* Did a little work on the 20 and 30 cars, mostly on the front hood for the 30 and the rear of the 20. I might diverge from some of the standard template of shaping that I’ve been doing on the 84, 2, and 3 cars, as this is my last chance to break from patterns that have made these cars easy to mutate over time.
* Did…[Read more]

I like the version on the card even better than the one at the top of this page. The gray triangle, and black area below it, make my brain think The Point and the confluence. Thanks for the lead on this thread, @philmatt24!

So, I need to connect back with Trisha this week. From what it looks like we’re currently around 3-4 8′ tables and looking at the picture I think we had closer to 16 in 2017. Worst case, I’ll put in for that again, but I know we were hoping to have a bigger footprint. Either way, it’s looking like we’re going to need to fill some tables to have a…[Read more]

@knb112, I am on for displaying at brickfest live. I will be able to staff both days. I can do two displays- a Star Wars one Tatoine one and undersea themed one with a monorail. The total between the two will be about an 8 foot table.
