I was able to work on the layout over the past couple of days (in block form using Google Sheets). This is essentially the as-built layout that we ended up with last year and is based on us getting the same space and number of tables (@timf is in the process of confirming that with the Science Center this week). We’re also asking for the 2 extra…[Read more]

Notes on the bridge:
I take no ownership over it. I consider it a lug asset to be improved on as desired. If you want to figure out how to power it, go for it.
I didn’t get to playing with it more, but know that it will need improvement on the hinge side to guide alignment vertically and horizontally. It’s structurally sound, but make sure it…[Read more] -

Morning all, I see I missed a bunch of stuff over the weekend but I’m going to try to catch up on questions now.
First of all HERE is the link to the google sheet for staffing. It is the same link as pumpkin to simplify things.
I do have a bluebrick layout completed but I have not added any details to it as I was waiting for info on what…[Read more]

I definitely support this effort. Not just for the LUG recognition, but Iโm sure Mark from Home and Garden would love to say he has award winning displays at his event. I would think that goes for any venue or event weโre a part of.
As Krista said, check out the gallery https://www.steelcitylug.com/gallery/2/?envira_id=31964

Heads up, @joshhall, @rcgrier3406, @knb112, @amplef0rth, and @watchwmarcella.
The 2023 Brick Train Awards are live and the Lug’s spectacular city display at the Pittsburgh Home and Garden Show would certainly qualify for “Best Overall Group Display.” Do you have any photos that you’d want to submit for it on their website or would you like to me…[Read more]

Okay, here’s what I got. I just want to make sure the covers are right before I start to print them out and create the poster.
@amplef0rth – “The Pigeon Finds a Hot Dog” and “The Pigeon Will Ride the Rollercoaster”
Me – “A Little Peaceful Spot”
@tbrown00 – “Chicka Chicka Boom Boom”
@greg – “Polar Express”
@legoleia51 – “The Adventures of a…[Read more]

@amplef0rth @knb112 I would be happy to help yโall!
First step would be to make an account. If you guys wanted we could hop on a call either in discord or via some other way if discord is too much to figure out currently and I could walk you through how to use it!

We’re about a month out from the event. We can talk more about this at Q3, but wanted to get a few things rolling before then.
For anyone who can’t make it but wants to display, I thought maybe we could set up North, South, East, and West drop-offs (kind of reverse of what we did for LUGBULK). I’m happy being a drop for the North, but if anyone…[Read more]

The only thing I’d have is a lighthouse model, but given the theme of the show I’d imagine it would be a little out of place. The last thing people think of when they hear Pittsburgh is a 4ft tall model of a lighthouse from North Carolina ยฏ\_(ใ)_/ยฏ

Thanks for the mention but my HP stuff would be out of place for the theme. I’m considering doing a few trains in the near future that would fit in, though. ๐ Good luck with this year’s convention.

@randomdan thank you for doing the Doodle.
@legoleia51 we are still IF at this point as I have not submitted our Display Application. I will go ahead and do that now that at least three of us are committed to the show (we always like to have at least 2 people per shift, minimum). If anyone else can come, please mark the Doodle ASAP.
